Heaven is for Real

Heaven is for Real
A Little Boys Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back
by Todd Burpo with Lynn Vincent

Heaven is for Real is the story of Colton's visit to Heaven and back.  The story is written by Colton's dad.  Colton had to undergo an emergency appendectomy, and was near the point of death.  After his recovery, and over the next year or so, Colton spoke of his experience in heaven and of the loved ones he met.  There were people in Heaven that met Colton who he had never met on Earth.

This book is very well written and flows easily for a very quick read.  I could hardly put the book down until I got to the end.  I absolutely love the part where Colton would look at each picture of Jesus and tell his parents that the picture did not look like Jesus.  One day, however, Colton's dad learned of another little girl who had also experienced visions of heaven and had drawn a picture of the Jesus she met.  When Colton sees it he says that it is the way Jesus looks!  I think that is so precious that this little boy was able to meet Jesus and was able to describe things he saw that his parents had never mentioned to him.  Each description can be verified in the Bible.

This is a must read for everyone!  I still think of Heaven every day, but in a whole new way thanks to reading this book!

"Heaven is for Real" is a a heartwarming, simple, and surprisingly biblical glimpse into a little four year old boy's journey into Heaven. Colton Burpo was four year's old when he found himself at death's door. His family didn't realize he had made his amazing journey until small but shocking revelations that amazed and bewildered his parents began to leak out. Colton didn't just have one sit down conversation, he let his journey be known one startling revelation at a time.
