I have realized recently that I am having a difficult time trusting some pastors that I used to trust. I know I have to put my trust in Christ, and I try to do that ... the problem is that I am not sure where God wants me in His kingdom. I feel there has to be more to this life that what I am currently experiencing.
There seems to be a lot of information available on how you "should" live and what you "should" do to grow closer to God. But there just seems to be something missing for me. Where is the Power??? The God I serve is ALMIGHTY and POWERFUL and LOVES us so much! Why are we not seeing the same things those in the early church saw like miracles in our presence? In the Bible there were many who had visits with Angels ... but it seems that the "norm" in the Bible is the exception today. (At least what I have been seeing lately).
Back to the trust issue -- I can not determine if the pastors are genuinely seeking God to do His will or if they are really just trying to "grow" their church. How do you know??? How do I truly know that the leadership is sincere in doing God's work no matter what? Or ... How do I tell they are really only looking out for themselves and trying to "grow" their church by numbers (and $).
Thoughts???
