Wells of Peru

God has worked a miracle in my life! I would have never thought my husband would end up going over to Peru to do mission work and, in the process, also dig wells for the people of Peru! Wow! Our God is awesome! I am in Awe of my powerful and loving God!

I am attaching a few pictures from Peru. It saddens me that we are living in 2009 and have not done a better job of making sure other countries have the basic necessities such as water. The body can not live w/o water and the lack of water causes many problems. In Peru, there are moms having to give their babies alcohol to drink because they do not have water to give them. I know it is difficult to believe and I feel that God wants us to show his love and to help take care of his people, both here in America as well as other countries. We have been so blessed in America by God and I believe He is wanting us to take what He has given us and to help others. Some of these people walk anywhere from 4-20 hours a day to get water. Once they get the water it is still unsuitable to drink. They have to take it home and prepare it to be able to drink it. Can you even imagine not having the basic necessity that sustains life? In some of these pictures you will also see that they do not have enough water to sustain their livestock!

We are in the process of setting up/updating the website for this mission. We have an awesome video that I will post within the next few days that will give you more information about the people of Peru and what they have to do just to get water.

I pray that if you see these pictures that you would please join us in praying for God to provide all that is needed to dig 9 wells (or beyond) by the end of 2009. There is water in the ground to be accessed but currently, the people of Peru do not have a way to get to this water. We have that ability and the equipment to do this. Please pray for the people of Peru. I have not personally been to Peru, but my husband tells me how happy everyone is and they are so grateful for what they have. They are also amazed that people in another country would care enough about them to come and help them! What a great opportunity to share the Love of Christ with them! We are praying to not only provide the water they need to sustain life, but also give them Jesus and tell them of His Amazing Love! Please click on the link below to view the photos:
